PAINTED CITIZEN FAQ

Posted by Diana Price on

Where does Diana Price get her inspiration?

WADDUP! It's Diana. So I get this question a lot and honestly there is so much I get inspired by. I have pulled a lot of inspiration from other artists before me and as a typical artist, I have pulled inspiration from harder parts of my life. Taking the pain and putting it into art is the BEST thing an artist can do. I was told in high school that my art was "too out there" and I used splatter paint as a "crutch" and now I have a clothing line that is based on SPLATTER PAINT. That's a good feeling.

I am super inspired by the female form. I believe that women are super powerful and beautiful creatures that should be respected. Paint on the female body is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.

I am also really inspired by my dog :). Her name is Daisy and she is a pit bull. I rescued her in Arizona at the Arizona Humane Society. She has taught me unconditional love and companionship. There were days I would sit in my office alone, and she would be laying right next to me and sometimes lick my foot to say "I'm here." Sometimes I just needed a friend or a break and she was always there.

I am just inspired by being alive. I get to breathe every day and live life to the fullest. I am pursuing my deepest dreams. It is the road less traveled but every bit of it is worth it.
